A bad case of hives may appear as a single large patch of puffy raised skin. Stress hives come about when you expose the body to excessive stress. An overload of emotional stress can cause physical reactions like inflammation in the body.
This inflammation in the body can cause an outbreak of hives or hives urticaria on the skin that is red itchy and irritated. Hives are itchy welts that form on the skin and often appear as a reaction to internal or external stress on the body. Stress hives can look a little like bug bites. Physical stimulae can also prompt an outbreak.
Hives caused by stress stress can play a big or small part in peoples daily lives but it may also manifest in physical ways as well. Relaxation techniques and stress management programs are certainly useful for treating hives caused by stress. However hives are more often irregular in shape and can join together in larger patches especially if you scratch them.
